Hi there, my name is Aoife Hester and I am a photographer and graphic designer based in Co. Wicklow. I have a particular interest in landscape photography and I often shoot scenes up around the Wicklow Mountains. I also love to create quirky/surreal images – anything that lets me have some fun with photoshop. Another area that I enjoy working in is time-lapse photography and I have spent a lot of time exploring this technique over the past few months.

Over the past year, I have shot a few weddings, and I have more coming up throughout the year. The past few months have been great for me. In December 2012, I was delighted to have been awarded the Irish Times Amateur Photographer of the Year in the travel category. The winning photo for this competition, “Dogs on Rosslare Train” has since been featured on nationalgeographic.com and worldirish.com.
